Race in America (10/15/02 negotiable; 9/11/03-9/14/03)

Announcement: Call for Papers for the Harvard Color Lines Conference: Segregation and Integration in America's Present and Future. The conference will focus on the changing nature of race in America, given the social, demographic, political, and economic changes that the US has undergone since the Civil Rights Movement. The conference is sponsored by the Civil Rights Project of Harvard Law School. This will be a cross-disciplinary conference, featuring academics, lawyers, journalists, policymakers, and others; scholars of American literature, American studies, and African American literature are especially welcome to submit paper proposals. Please see the full call for papers at http://www.law.harvard.edu/civilrights. Though the posted deadline is 10/15, it can be negotiated by contacting the Project at 617-496-6367.
